Thornley & Associates Ltd is a long established West Auckland Land Surveying Consultancy. Originating as Clover & Thornley, then H B Thornley & Associates, the company has operated out of the New Lynn area for over 40 years.

In that period we have undertaken both large and small residential subdivisions, and provided associated surveying services throughout the greater Auckland Region.

Thornley & Associates Ltd has been run for 20 years by Dick Hudson, John Hunt & Rob Thornley, all Licensed Cadastral Surveyors and Members of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors. Dick & John are also Registered Professional Surveyors and are members of the Institute’s Consultant’s Division.

Dick, John & Rob have a thorough all-round knowledge, with particular areas of expertise & interest established and maintained through the years.

All our deal directly with a principal, thus ensuring qualified and personal service.

Dick, John & Rob are assisted by a qualified survey technician, graduate and undergraduate surveyors, and support field and office staff. We use modern electronic theodolites and GPS survey equipment, and appropriate survey and plan presentation software.

Thornley & Associates Ltd maintain close relationships with associated professionals including Chartered Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, Ecologists, Architects & Planners for work that may fall outside our fields.

Over the years we have established working relationships with several reputable Land Development & Drainage Contractors who can undertake the necessary physical works required for your subdivision, and whose work is well respected by Council inspecting officers.

We have undertaken comprehensive survey and associated subdivisional engineering and consultancy work for private land-owners, residential & commercial property developers, housing companies, public agencies and Local Authorities

Most of our work is in the Auckland metropolitan area, but we have ventured further afield for some of our regular clients.
